Make a difference in the lives of students by providing vital support and expertise across elementary, middle, and high school settings as a school psychologist in a contract role. Your ability to assess, consult, and collaborate with educators and families will help foster a positive and productive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in school psychology or a related field
- Valid current New Mexico school psychologist license
- Experience working with students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels is highly valued
- Strong communication, consultation, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer psychological evaluations and interpret the results to assist with educational planning and intervention
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ emotional and social growth
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies that address academic, behavioral, and emotional issues
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate interventions
- Develop and deliver professional development sessions for staff related to mental health, trauma, and classroom management strategies
- Maintain detailed records in accordance with district and state policies
