- Knowledge of special education law and individualized education program (IEP) processes
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for student support planning
- Develop and participate in the implementation of IEPs and 504 plans
- Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students
- Consult with teachers, families, and administrators to promote student well-being
- Support crisis intervention and response when needed
- Help design and deliver professional development regarding mental health and behavior
