Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active and valid Colorado School Psychologist license
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field
- Experience providing assessments, counseling, and intervention strategies in K-12 settings
- Strong understanding of IEP development and participation in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to diverse school populations and establish rapport with students and staff
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and organizational abilities
- Familiarity with current special education laws and regulations
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment data
- Provide recommendations for educational programming and behavioral interventions
- Support students through individual and group counseling sessions
- Serve as an integral member of IEP and 504 plan meetings
- Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop and implement strategies that promote a positive school climate
- Consult with families and outside providers as appropriate
- Assist with crisis intervention and risk assessments when needed
- Maintain timely and confidential documentation related to student services and progress
