Job Description
A school district in Auburn, Washington is seeking a qualified School Psychologist for a full‑time, school‑based contract. This position serves K–12 students and focuses on assessment, intervention, and collaboration to support academic achievement and social‑emotional development. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to evaluate academic, cognitive, and social‑emotional functioning
- Interpret assessment results and prepare clear, compliant written evaluation reports
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student learning, behavior, and mental health needs
- Support the development and monitoring of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Assist with MTSS, early intervention, and school‑based mental health initiatives as applicable
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Support a safe, inclusive, and student‑centered learning environment
Qualifications
- Active Washington School Psychologist certification/licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and district clearances
- Licensing and credentialing support may be available for eligible candidates
Education
- Master’s degree, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), or higher in School Psychology or a related field
Experience
- Prior school‑based experience preferred
- New graduates with appropriate credentials and internship experience are encouraged to apply
Skills
- Strong assessment, data interpretation, and report‑writing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations
Work Hours
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Approximately 37–40 hours per week
