School Psychologist | Aurora, Colorado
Bring your expertise as a School Psychologist to a vibrant educational setting conveniently situated near Aurora, CO! This contract opportunity is perfect for professionals passionate about supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic growth. You’ll work onsite at both Field Elementary and Hopkins Elementary, serving a caseload of approximately 40 students. This full-time assignment starts as soon as possible and extends until late May 2027.
You’ll participate in a two-stage interview process, first with the Special Education Coordinator and then with the School Principal. To be considered, candidates must possess or have applied for Colorado’s Professional Special Services License. If you’re a traveler, be sure to have your licensure application underway and think through your relocation logistics like housing and travel plans.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current (or pending) Colorado Professional Special Services License
- Previous experience as a School Psychologist in a school setting
- Proven ability to communicate skills, experience, and case methods effectively during interviews
- Energetic, engaging, and positive demeanor
- Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and intervention tactics
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with students, families, and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations
- Develop and implement effective intervention plans
- Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success
- Participate in IEP meetings and work closely with special education staff
- Provide crisis intervention and collaborate with families and educators
This is an onsite-only role with a full-time schedule, ensuring steady engagement with both school communities.
