Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Valid school psychologist certification or licensure (state requirements must be met)
- Master’s or higher degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
- Proficiency in conducting psychological and educational assessments
- Strong understanding of intervention strategies, MTSS/RTI, and behavioral supports
- Compassionate approach and effective communication with students, families, and staff
- Previous experience in K-12 educational settings preferred
- Organizational skills to manage caseloads, evaluations, and timely documentation
- Teamwork mindset to participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual assessments to identify learning, developmental, and behavioral needs
- Interpret data and present findings as part of the special education eligibility process
- Consult with teachers and parents to design and monitor evidence-based interventions
- Provide direct counseling or therapy services when required
- Support the creation and implementation of positive behavioral plans
- Participate in crisis response, threat/risk assessments, and prevention programming
- Maintain thorough and confidential records in compliance with all regulations
