Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold valid School Psychologist certification/licensure specific to the state’s requirements.
- Proven experience working with K-5 or elementary student populations.
- Strong understanding of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and individualized education program (IEP) processes.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and other school-based professionals.
- Compassionate, ethical, and able to uphold confidentiality at all times.
- Previous school-based experience is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and re-evaluations, psychoeducational assessments, and behavioral observations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs.
- Provide consultation to teachers, staff, and parents regarding educational and behavioral interventions.
- Offer crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, and support services as needed.
- Monitor student progress and participate in ongoing planning meetings.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of evaluations, meetings, and services provided.
- Effectively contribute across two elementary school sites, balancing needs and priorities between both.
