Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility for NC licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience or training in educational and psychological assessments
- Strong knowledge of IEP process, special education laws, and intervention strategies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, teachers, and parents
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psycho-educational evaluations and interpret assessment data for eligibility and service planning
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ mental health and well-being
- Participate in Student Support Teams, helping develop effective IEPs and behavior intervention plans
- Consult with teachers, parents, and other staff to create a positive, supportive learning environment
- Engage in crisis intervention and provide recommendations for interventions and accommodations
- Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
