Requirements:
- Valid School Psychologist certification for the state of North Carolina
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
- Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessments, IEPs, and special education law
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments
- Develop and interpret IEPs, implement interventions, and monitor progress
- Provide consultation and support to teachers regarding behavioral and academic concerns
- Offer counseling to students individually and in groups as needed
- Participate in student support and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Assist with crisis prevention and intervention
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation and reports
