Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist (NC credentials preferred)
- Experience in a school setting assessing and supporting student learning and emotional needs
- Familiarity with special education processes, IEP development, and legal requirements in schools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for consultations with staff, students, and parents
- Efficient organizational abilities and attention to detail in assessments and documentation
- Commitment to ethical practice and culturally responsive services
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results to identify student strengths and challenges
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create strategies that improve student outcomes
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and behavior management guidance as needed
- Offer staff and parent training on academic, social, and emotional development topics
- Maintain clear, timely records and reports to comply with district and state requirements
