School Psychologist | Cicero, Illinois
Step into a specialized district role supporting Pre-K through 8th grade students with your expertise in school psychology. This contract opportunity places you at the heart of the evaluation process, working from the district office rather than directly in school buildings. Enjoy a focused caseload, with a primary emphasis on evaluations—last year, the district completed 63, including 17 Early Intervention transitions.
Your day will involve running domain meetings, conducting comprehensive evaluations, and managing the Early Intervention (EI) transition process, including TPBA assessments. You’ll also participate in MTSS referral meetings as needed, ensuring each student is supported with the right interventions. Unlike typical school psychologists, your responsibilities will not include routine, daily involvement with students or staff on campus, allowing for deep attention to evaluation and collaboration processes.
Qualifications/Preferred Experience:
- Active or pending Illinois PEL (Professional Educator License) and Psychologist License (travel professionals with pending credentials welcome).
- Prior experience with student evaluations across Pre-K through 8th grade strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in managing evaluation caseloads and leading domain meetings.
- Familiarity with Early Intervention transitions and TPBA assessments a plus.
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, and thrive in a central-district office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct, coordinate, and deliver comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations.
- Lead and run domain meetings efficiently and collaboratively.
- Oversee EI transition processes and TPBA assessments.
- Attend MTSS referral meetings as necessary to advocate for student needs.
Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:45 am to 3:30 pm, with your assignment running through June 19th, 2027. This unique district-based position offers you the chance to focus on impactful evaluation work and meaningful collaboration, all while supporting a diverse Pre-K–8 student population.
Ready to bring your expertise to a district-focused role and make a real difference? Apply now and take the next step in your school psychology career!
Compensation for this position ranges from $44.92 to $64.92. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
