School Psychologist – 2026–2027 School Year
Location: Colonial Heights City Public Schools
Schedule: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
School Year: 2026–2027
Pay: $42–$48/hour (based on experience)
About the Opportunity
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join Colonial Heights City Public Schools for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to work with a high school caseload while collaborating with an experienced team of School Psychologists in a supportive district. The district is known for its collaborative environment, and current School Psychologists enjoy working there. A hybrid schedule may be considered for the right candidate, although onsite services are preferred.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations.
Interpret assessment results and prepare written reports.
Participate in eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Provide consultation and recommendations to teachers, families, and school staff.
Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and emotional success.
Collaborate with school personnel to develop and implement effective interventions.
Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Qualifications
Master's, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
Active Virginia School Psychologist licensure/certification (or ability to obtain prior to the start date).
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Previous school-based experience preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive hourly pay of $40–$55/hour, based on experience
