School Psychologist Needed South of Harrisonburg, Virginia
School Psychologist Opportunity | Near Harrisonburg, Virginia:
Step into a meaningful full-time opportunity supporting students and staff for the upcoming new school year. This contract position is ideal for a School Psychologist looking to take on a full-time role within a diverse team, servicing grades Kindergarten through 12th. As the new school psychologist in this role, your expertise will be central in ensuring the continuation of high-quality evaluation and supervision services.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia State School Psychologist license
- At least two years of professional experience preferred; strong new graduates will be considered
- Background check clearance including fingerprinting
- Valid driver’s license and Social Security card required for credentialing
- Experience with elementary or high school populations; preschool experience a plus
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 1,000 students per psychologist
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments and re-evaluations
- Handle referrals and manage an active caseload
- Perform approximately 60 initial evaluations annually, plus additional re-evaluations
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student success
- Participate in response-to-intervention processes and provide recommendations
