School Psychologist - Cypress, Texas
Embark on an impactful contract opportunity as a School Psychologist, providing essential support to students across 2-3 vibrant educational settings in the Cypress area. This full-time position spans the school year, beginning July 27th and concluding May 27th, offering you a rewarding experience with students in need of your expertise.
As a School Psychologist, you will work 37.5 hours per week, collaborating with a dedicated educational team to nurture students’ social, emotional, and academic growth. You’ll manage a caseload of approximately 60-80 students and conduct 8-10 comprehensive evaluations each month, tailoring your approach to support individual needs and foster a positive learning environment.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology
- State licensure or eligibility as a School Psychologist (or pending application)
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal and consultative skills for collaboration with teachers, families, and staff
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage evaluations and caseload effectively
- Familiarity with diverse learners and interventions beneficial
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and deliver written reports
- Develop, implement, and monitor evidence-based interventions
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Provide counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention as needed
- Engage in data-driven decision-making and contribute to IEP development
- Travel between assigned school sites and manage tasks efficiently
