Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- School Psychologist certification, or eligibility for certification in Connecticut
- Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students and their families
- Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and behavioral intervention strategies
- Knowledge of special education processes, including IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork abilities
- Ability to adapt to diverse school environments and respond to students’ individual needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and create clear, actionable reports
- Provide individual and group counseling to support student emotional and academic growth
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and administrators to develop effective support plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams addressing student needs
- Support crisis intervention and prevention programs within the school community
- Stay current with best practices in school psychology and student support services
