Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid School Psychologist certification from the state of Connecticut (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working with high school students strongly preferred
- Proficiency in conducting student evaluations and providing individual or group counseling
- Strong communication, consultation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and manage confidential information ethically
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct up to 28 comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations throughout the academic year
- Provide individual or small group counseling for approximately 10 students on a weekly or bi-weekly basis
- Participate in the development of Intervention and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive strategies for student success
- Maintain detailed and timely records of evaluations, counseling sessions, and interventions
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students’ social, emotional, and academic needs
