Put your experience to work as a School Psychologist supporting K-12 students in the Mobile, AL area this coming academic year! This on-site contract position will play a vital role in evaluating and supporting students across multiple school locations within the district. Your ability to collaborate with staff, assess and address student needs, and navigate a dynamic caseload will help promote positive outcomes for learners.
Interviews for this role begin August 26th, 2026, with a brief pause from August 31st to September 4th; interviews will resume afterward and continue as needed. The assignment starts October 1, 2026 and runs through May 26, 2027, with potential options to renew for extended or following school year coverage based on performance and district need.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid AL school psychology license (must provide proof of licensure).
- Previous experience working as a School Psychologist with K-12 students preferred.
- Comfortable working as part of an itinerant team, traveling to different campus locations (sites to be determined).
- Strong assessment, consultation, and communication skills.
- Ability to provide site-based support in a fast-paced educational environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments for students as required.
- Provide consultation and interventions in collaboration with educators, counselors, and families.
- Support the special education eligibility process.
- Develop and contribute to individualized education plans.
- Deliver counseling and behavioral support, as needed, tailored to diverse learners.
- Maintain documentation and adhere to district, state, and federal guidelines.
