In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering academic success and emotional well-being among children and adolescents, working collaboratively with teachers, families, and school staff.
What you’ll do:
- Provide comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans when needed
- Offer counseling and direct support services to students facing academic, social, or emotional challenges
- Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families to promote positive outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to student intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with applicable regulations
- Support crisis intervention efforts and promote a positive, inclusive school climate
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Current state licensure or certification as a school psychologist (or ability to obtain)
- Experience providing psychological services in a school or similar setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively partner with students, staff, and parents
- Familiarity with developing IEPs and working with special education processes
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a flexible caseload
- Commitment to student-centered, culturally responsive practices
