Make a difference in the lives of K-5 students as you support an established special education program in a dynamic school environment. This full-time opportunity is available for an experienced School Psychologist seeking a rewarding role to cover a medical leave, with strong potential to extend through the full academic year. You’ll work in a collaborative setting with another psychologist, primarily serving students outside of the BEST/STRIVE programs, and benefit from a supportive team-focused atmosphere.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid state certification as a School Psychologist
- School-based or pediatric experience, especially with K-5 age group
- Knowledge of special education supports and processes
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Experience with behavioral intervention and assessment preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct student evaluations and re-evaluations; interpret results for educational planning
- Provide consultation and collaboration services for teachers and staff
- Support K-5 students’ social, emotional, and academic needs through individual and group interventions
- Assist in the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 plans
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with district and legal guidelines
- Collaborate with the other psychologist in the building for comprehensive support
- Liaise with families to facilitate student success and engagement
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical practices in all interactions
This contract role follows a schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:50am-2:50pm, and Wednesdays extending to 3:20pm, allowing for balance and consistency.
