This opportunity places you within a welcoming school community near Milton, VT, serving either an elementary or middle school—final location to be determined. With a caseload of approximately 90 students who currently have Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), your expertise will play a pivotal role in guiding students toward success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Psychologist degree from an accredited program
- Active state licensure to practice as a School Psychologist in Vermont
- Previous school-based experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with special education processes, evaluations, and IEP development
- Skilled in collaborating with educators, families, and related service providers
- Strong organizational abilities for managing multiple student supports
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for students with IEPs
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to support academic and emotional well-being
- Lead and participate in IEP meetings with faculty, families, and support staff
- Offer crisis intervention and counseling services as needed
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to promote inclusive environments
- Advise and support staff in best practices for student development
