Qualifications:
- Hold active or preliminary Michigan School Psychologist Certification
- Submission of official university transcripts prior to consideration
- Prior school psychology or related agency experience preferred
- Strong understanding of special education as defined by Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE) and relevant IDEA Federal Regulations
- Commitment to working within an urban school context
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to inform special education eligibility
- Collaborate with support staff on early identification and intervention
- Regularly communicate psychological findings with parents, teachers, and administrators
- Maintain consistent application of special education policies across assigned schools
- Participate in ongoing professional development and in-service training
- Additional duties as assigned
