Key Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid certification or license to practice as a School Psychologist in Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience administering psychological and academic assessments to students
- Ability to interpret data and develop effective intervention strategies
- Strong communication skills to work with staff, students, and families
- Understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI)
- Commitment to promoting the social, emotional, and academic well-being of all students
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations using standardized tools
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other professionals to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 plans
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support as needed
- Support students’ social-emotional development through individual or group sessions
- Assist in the development and implementation of positive behavioral interventions and supports
- Serve as a resource for staff and families on mental health and learning concerns
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a positive school climate
