Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field required
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and developing intervention strategies
- Understanding of special education law, IEP process, and Response to Intervention (RTI)
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families from diverse backgrounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer psychoeducational evaluations to assess cognitive, academic, social, and emotional development
- Interpret assessment results for eligibility decisions, programming, and interventions
- Participate as an active member of IEP, problem-solving, and multi-disciplinary teams
- Provide consultation and support to teachers, administrators, and counselors
- Deliver individual and group counseling or social skills training as needed
- Support crisis intervention, behavioral plans, and positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS)
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation
