Location: Fryeburg, ME
Schedule: Full-Time, 33.75 hours per week
School Year: 2026–2027
Start Date: August 31, 2026 (Preferred availability for orientation and safety trainings August 24–28, 2026)
We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join a supportive school district in Fryeburg, ME for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time position focuses primarily on comprehensive evaluations, participation in IEP meetings, and collaboration with school teams to support student success.
This is an excellent opportunity for a school psychologist who enjoys assessment and consultation while working alongside multidisciplinary teams. Travel candidates are welcome to apply!
Position Details
- Full-Time: 33.75 hours per week
- Pre-K through 12th grade population
- May provide services across up to four school sites
- Primary responsibilities include evaluations, IEP meetings, and intervention planning
- School Year: 2026–2027
- Start Date: August 31, 2026
- Preferred availability for orientation and safety trainings during the week of August 24–28, 2026 (preferred but not required)
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and reevaluations for special education eligibility.
- Interpret assessment results and prepare comprehensive evaluation reports.
- Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to coordinate intervention plans and student supports.
- Consult with multidisciplinary teams regarding student academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
- Provide counseling services if qualified and interested (not required).
Qualifications
- Valid Maine certification as a School Psychologist.
- Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations in a school setting preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience serving Pre-K through 12th grade students is preferred; however, candidates without Pre-K experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
