Work on a contract basis for the 2026-2027 school year to provide vital psychological services throughout Porter County. With a home base at the SELF school, you’ll travel to multiple sites, collaborating with dedicated professionals and using your expertise to foster academic success and emotional well-being.
What you’ll bring:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or license (state requirements apply)
- Previous experience delivering psychological services in K-12 schools preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and behavioral intervention skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse caseloads and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and record-keeping abilities
- Commitment to meeting the individual needs of students in a countywide setting
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations, assessments, and re-evaluations
- Support the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 plans
- Consult with teachers, parents, and school staff regarding student concerns
- Deliver individual and group counseling sessions as needed
- Provide crisis intervention, behavioral support, and preventative services
- Stay current with educational best practices and legal compliance
