This contract opportunity is based near Grand Prairie, TX, and is perfect for professionals who are passionate about delivering comprehensive psychological services within a dynamic school setting.
Candidates will play a crucial role in completing psychological evaluations (including educational and autism assessments) for both re-evaluations and initial referrals. Participation in MD ARD meetings will be required as needed, and you’ll also share evaluation findings with ARD committees. For selected students, you may oversee a small caseload focusing on counseling as a related service. Assignments may vary depending on specific campus needs, blending direct and indirect services.
Qualifications:
- Valid and current professional license in School Psychology is required
- Experience working with school-aged populations in public school settings is preferred
- Familiarity with a range of psychological assessments and reporting
- Strong communication skills; comfortable presenting at ARD meetings
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary educational teams
- Must provide proof of fingerprint clearance and successful drug screen prior to start date
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct educational and autism-related psychological assessments
- Participate in multidisciplinary ARD meetings to develop appropriate interventions
- Present evaluation findings and recommendations to ARD committees
- Provide indirect counseling supports as a related service, depending on assignment
- Adapt to a caseload that may include multiple schools across different grade levels
This full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week on a contract basis. Prescreen interviews may be required; please note your availability for a 9-11 a.m. or 2-3 p.m. EST timeslot.
