Qualifications/Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of Alabama
- Master’s or specialist degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Experience providing psychological services in a K-12 school setting preferred
- Skilled in conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
- Knowledge of IEP processes and special education regulations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Participate in eligibility determination meetings and develop, review, or update IEPs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, administrators, and support staff
- Provide individual and group counseling to support student growth and well-being
- Offer crisis intervention and consultative services as needed
- Deliver professional development or training to staff regarding student mental health and behavioral supports
- Maintain detailed and confidential records in compliance with school and state policies
