Each classroom maintains a focused setting with only six children, enabling deeper connections and individualized care. The student population does not represent severe or profound needs, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid and current School Psychologist certification (state requirements)
- Experience or strong interest in working with students on the autism spectrum
- Familiarity with behavioral interventions and counseling within school settings
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with BCBAs and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to supporting K-8 students’ social, emotional, and academic development
- Counseling experience is essential
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide direct counseling services tailored to student needs
- Conduct assessments and help develop behavior intervention plans
- Collaborate closely with BCBAs, teachers, and families for comprehensive student support
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation of student-centered goals
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning atmosphere
