Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification and credentials as a School Psychologist.
- Previous experience in school settings, with familiarity in classroom observations, functional behavioral assessments (FBAs), and academic assessments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including school social workers and special education staff.
- Experience conducting early childhood (EC) play-based assessments with children ages 2-5 preferred.
- Skilled in crisis response and equipped to participate in Student Support Team (SST) meetings.
- Strong communication and organization skills for effective evaluation documentation and team collaboration.
Role Responsibilities:
- Attend SST meetings and collaborate with school teams to support student needs.
- Conduct classroom observations and academic assessments as part of special education evaluations.
- Administer play-based early childhood assessments one day per week, focusing on children aged 2-5.
- Complete comprehensive evaluations for private school referrals.
- Provide crisis response and support as needed within the school setting.
- Work in partnership with the school social worker and faculty to ensure a positive, supportive learning environment for all students.
