Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid and active Louisiana Department of Education School Psychologist Certification (DOE Cert) is required
- Proven experience working as a School Psychologist in K-12 settings preferred
- Strong assessment, intervention, and consultation skills
- Exceptional communication abilities with students, staff, and families
- Must meet district-specific credentialing requirements, including completion of a drug screen and fingerprinting
- Commitment to ethical practice and confidentiality
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for students referred for evaluation
- Deliver counseling, direct interventions, and crisis response services to promote students’ social-emotional well-being
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized support plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to special education eligibility decisions
- Foster a positive, inclusive school culture by supporting preventative and proactive mental health programs
- Maintain thorough, compliant documentation and reports as needed
