Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Louisiana Department of Education School Psychologist Certification (mandatory)
- Experience working in K-12 schools as a School Psychologist
- Ability to handle varying caseloads and adapt to diverse school assignments
- Must pass District-mandated drug screening and fingerprint background checks, as well as agency credentialing
- Strong interpersonal skills for consultation, assessment, and collaboration
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results
- Develop and implement intervention strategies for students
- Participate in IEP meetings, serving as a resource for staff and families
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and behavioral support as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other service providers to foster student success
- Contribute to data-based decision making and evidence-based practices
