School Psychologist in Kent, WA

Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
- Current (or eligibility for) valid state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
- Strong understanding of assessment, intervention, and counseling techniques
- Experience with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), RTI/MTSS processes, and special education eligibility
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
- Previous school-based or educational experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas of need
- Provide direct counseling and intervention services to support students’ academic and social-emotional goals
- Collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and other support plans
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote positive learning environments
- Offer crisis intervention and trauma-informed support when necessary
- Encourage the involvement of families in the educational process
