Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist or School Social Worker license/certification (or eligible for New Mexico credential)
- Previous experience developing behavior intervention plans in school settings
- Knowledge of pre-referral and evaluative processes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both students and multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with supporting staff in managing student behaviors
- Flexibility to work across two elementary sites as assigned
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver psychological and social work services to elementary students, 7 hours per day, following district protocols
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments and contribute to functional behavior analyses with actionable recommendations
- Collaborate with educators to tailor interventions and monitor student progress
- Guide staff in managing diverse behaviors across classroom and school environments
- Support pre-referral data collection and evaluative activities, ensuring compliance with policies and timelines
- Offer consultative services to teachers and parents, fostering a supportive educational climate for all learners
