Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience with student evaluations and assessments
- Strong knowledge of school-based special education procedures
- Ability to effectively participate in ARD meetings and collaborate with educational staff
- Skilled in reviewing and interpreting psychological and psycho-educational evaluations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Previous work in a school setting preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and educational evaluations for students in elementary schools, in partnership with a diagnostician
- Provide guidance, interpretation, and recommendations based on evaluation results for use by ARD committees
- Attend and participate in ARDs, supporting the review and development of individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to ensure student needs are met
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with district policies and regulations
- Support school initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
