Key Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia School Psychologist License
- Experience working with K-12th grade students preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education and behavioral plans
- Collaborative approach with teachers, parents, and support staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and educational assessments to determine student needs
- Provide direct and indirect support services to students, including counseling and interventions
- Collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams to create strategies for academic, social, and behavioral success
- Participate in the development and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver crisis intervention and offer preventative strategies when needed
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource on mental health, learning, and behavior for faculty and families
