Key Qualifications & Requirements:
- Specialist-level degree (Ed.S.) or higher in School Psychology from an accredited program, with completion of a supervised internship.
- Hold or be eligible for the Tennessee School Service Personnel (SSP) School Psychologist license. Out-of-state candidates may be considered through reciprocity.
- Passing score on the Praxis School Psychologist Exam (5402) is typically required.
- Strong background in psycho-educational evaluation and student assessment.
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
Role Details:
- Contract assignment spanning from August 5, 2026, through May 21, 2027.
- Engage with an age-diverse caseload, focused primarily on elementary students, with some responsibilities in high school settings.
- Work 30-32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, ensuring a consistent, balanced schedule.
- Serve a supportive student body, with approximately 20% identified for special education services.
- Take charge of psycho-educational evaluations, including initial assessments and re-evaluations, attending related meetings.
- No requirements for conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) or Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Work to the district’s standard of re-evaluating every six years at a minimum.
