School Psychologist - Mechanicsville, Maryland

Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold a valid School Psychologist certification/licensure (as required by state guidelines)
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology, Educational Psychology, or a related field
- Experience conducting psychological evaluations, writing reports, and developing recommendations
- Knowledgeable about IEP development, RTI/MTSS processes, and special education services
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with students, staff, and families
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students to determine academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Offer consultation, intervention, and crisis support to teachers, administrators, and parents
- Provide short-term counseling and skill-building to students in need of additional support
- Help foster inclusive, supportive school environments that promote mental wellness and student achievement
- Maintain thorough documentation, participate in meetings, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
