Key Qualifications:
- Possession of a Master's degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
- Current and valid New Mexico school psychologist license
- Experience working with diverse age groups, including elementary, middle, and high school students
- Strong assessment, intervention, and counseling skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and support staff
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
- Flexibility and competence managing caseloads and adapting to varying student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations
- Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide direct counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support for students
- Consult with teachers and families to develop strategies supporting student success
- Facilitate and participate in eligibility, intervention, and IEP meetings
- Help create inclusive and positive school environments
- Maintain thorough, compliant documentation and adhere to district, state, and federal guidelines
