Key Qualifications:
- Licensed or certified as a School Psychologist in Hawaii (or eligibility for Hawaii licensure/certification)
- Master’s or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Previous experience working with K-12 populations preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education services, assessments, and IEP processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Completion of necessary background checks
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments
- Provide direct counseling and support services to students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral growth
- Develop, monitor, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Consult with school staff and participate in student support teams
- Help develop and implement school-wide positive behavioral interventions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state requirements
