We're seeking dedicated professionals who excel in supporting K-12 students through comprehensive psychoeducational services. This is a full-time, on-site contract role, with a potential option to renew for extended school year and future assignments based on performance.
Role Details:
This assignment requires adaptability as caseloads and specific school locations will be determined closer to the start date. Flexibility to travel between campuses may be necessary, as assignments can be itinerant depending on the district's testing needs. School Psychologists will play a key part in assessment, intervention, and consultation for students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and school staff is essential.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Alabama School Psychologist license (must provide proof of licensure)
- Previous experience in K-12 school settings strongly preferred
- Expertise in conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
- Ability to provide direct and consultative support to students, teachers, and families
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable working full-time on-site for the academic year
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students K-12 as referred
- Develop recommendations and interventions based on assessment outcomes
- Consult with educators, parents, and administrators regarding student needs
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Manage and adjust to itinerant assignments to meet testing demands
