ProCare Therapy is seeking a qualified and dedicated School Psychologist to join a school district in New Britain, Connecticut. This is an excellent opportunity for a school psychologist who is passionate about supporting students' academic, behavioral, social, and emotional development.
Position Details
Position: School Psychologist
Setting: School-based
Location: New Britain, CT
Schedule: Monday–Friday, during regular school hours
Pay: $50+/hr depending on experience
Caseload: School-aged students across the assigned school setting
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments.
Participate in the evaluation and eligibility determination process for special education services.
Develop and interpret assessment reports and communicate findings to families and educational teams.
Provide individual and group counseling and behavioral support as appropriate.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, special education staff, and related service providers.
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized educational plans.
Provide consultation regarding students' academic, behavioral, social, and emotional needs.
Assist with developing and implementing behavioral interventions and positive support strategies.
Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation.
Support a positive, inclusive, and student-centered school environment.
Qualifications
Master's degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field.
Valid Connecticut School Psychologist certification or eligibility for Connecticut certification.
Experience working with school-aged students preferred.
Strong assessment, communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team.
Commitment to supporting students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
