Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified and student-focused School Psychologist to join our educational team near Norfolk, Virginia. The School Psychologist will support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success through assessment, consultation, intervention, and collaboration with educators, families, and support staff.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
- Interpret assessment results and prepare comprehensive reports
- Participate in eligibility and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
- Provide consultation to teachers, administrators, and parents
- Develop and implement behavioral intervention strategies
- Support crisis intervention and student mental health initiatives
- Monitor student progress and recommend appropriate services
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local special education regulations
Qualifications
- Master's, Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Valid Virginia School Psychologist license/certification or eligibility to obtain certification
- Knowledge of special education laws and procedures
- Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills
