Make a difference in elementary students’ lives as a School Psychologist in a dynamic educational role based near North Providence, RI. This contract position has an immediate start and runs through mid-July, providing the opportunity to work directly in school settings supporting young learners through critical stages of their development.
This assignment features a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, totaling 37.5 hours per week. Work collaboratively with educators and support staff to assess students’ learning needs, behavior, and emotional well-being—and deliver guidance and interventions that truly matter. Caseload details will be shared prior to placement.
Qualifications:
- Active Rhode Island School Psychologist certification (RI Psych) required
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based assessment tools and interventions
- Compassionate, communicative, and comfortable in school environments
- Background in IEP development, progress monitoring, and parent collaboration a plus
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive assessments and progress evaluations for elementary students
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop strategies that foster academic and emotional growth
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations
- Offer individual and group counseling as needed
- Maintain thorough and organized documentation for all services provided
