Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Active certification/license as a School Psychologist in Connecticut (or eligible for state credentialing)
- Experience conducting educational and psychological evaluations
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education requirements
- Compassionate communicator skilled in building rapport with students, families, and colleagues
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ strengths and needs
- Develop and implement interventions that support academic, emotional, and behavioral growth
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide counseling, consultation, and recommendations to educators and families
- Assist in crisis intervention and development of positive behavior plans
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
