Key qualifications and desired background:
- Valid School Psychologist license or credential
- Demonstrated experience with behavior plan development
- Familiarity with strategies to assist staff in behavior management across diverse settings
- Strong background in pre-referral interventions and psychoeducational assessments
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with teachers, administrators, and families
- Understanding of social-emotional learning and child development for elementary-age students
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct behavioral and psychoeducational assessments as part of pre-referral and special education evaluations
- Design and implement effective behavior intervention plans to support positive student outcomes
- Collaborate with educators to monitor strategies and adjust plans as needed
- Lead or participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Provide consultation, training, and resources to staff on best practices for managing student behaviors
- Maintain clear, timely documentation and communication regarding student progress
As part of this contract position, you’ll enjoy steady, consistent hours—working 35 hours per week across the academic year from August 3, 2026 through May 28, 2027.
