In this dynamic setting, you’ll focus on developing effective behavior plans, collaborating closely with staff, and guiding behavior management strategies school-wide.
Your expertise will further shape a positive, inclusive learning environment, ensuring all students have the support they need. You'll be engaged in both pre-referral consultations and evaluative activities, with a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week carried out entirely onsite.
What You’ll Bring:
- Current certification as a School Psychologist (or eligible for NM licensure)
- Prior experience working with elementary students, preferably across multiple sites
- Strong background in Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), designing and monitoring behavior intervention plans
- Ability to partner with educators and parents, providing practical strategies and support
- Skilled in conducting evaluations, pre-referral interventions, and contributing to IEP teams
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility and adaptability across settings and service needs
Daily Responsibilities:
- Assess the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students
- Develop individualized and group behavior plans
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to implement interventions
- Deliver consultative support and professional development to school staff
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams, contributing to evaluations and eligibility determinations
- Document progress and maintain accurate records
- Offer crisis intervention and support as needed
