Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a School Psychologist
- Demonstrated experience working in a school or educational setting
- Skill in evaluating students with varying communication and physical abilities
- Comfort with and knowledge of Assistive Technology tools used by students
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with special education teams and families
- Ability to develop and interpret a variety of educational and psychological assessments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual psycho-educational evaluations for students with intense disabilities
- Utilize specialized assessment methods for non-verbal and physically impaired students
- Adapt evaluation processes and materials to meet the communication and cognitive needs of each student, including those using Assistive Technology devices
- Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, special education teachers, and families to interpret data
- Participate in eligibility, IEP, and intervention meetings, contributing recommendations for supports and services
- Maintain detailed records and comply with all relevant district and state documentation requirements
