Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid School Psychologist license
- Experience working with students who have intense disabilities, including non-verbal, physical, or complex communication needs
- Proficiency conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments
- Familiarity with interpreting and administering standardized testing, as well as alternative assessments
- Strong understanding of Assistive Technology as a communication tool
- Effective communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to ethical practice and ongoing professional development
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth evaluations and testing for students referred for assessment, specifically those with significant disabilities
- Work closely with special education teams to interpret assessment results and provide recommendations for appropriate supports
- Develop, write, and present detailed reports that guide individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies
- Consult with families and educators to implement evidence-based interventions and accommodations
- Serve as a resource for staff in addressing behavioral, academic, and socio-emotional needs of students
- Advocate for students’ access to necessary services and assistive technologies
