Step into an impactful role providing districtwide support as a School Psychologist/School Psychometrist for the remainder of this school year through the end of the 2026–2027 academic year. Working full-time, you will be a vital part of a dedicated special education team, collaborating closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams across multiple school sites.
Your primary responsibilities will center on comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and reevaluations, eligibility determinations, and clear, timely report writing. You’ll partner in IEP and eligibility meetings, ensuring all actions remain compliant with both state and federal regulations. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as assignments may shift between schools based on district-wide student needs.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold or be eligible for Alabama certification as a School Psychologist or Psychometrist.
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting, interpreting, and documenting psychological and psychoeducational assessments.
- Solid grasp of special education law and compliance, particularly related to state and federal guidelines.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality, clear, and legally defensible evaluation reports.
- Skilled in effective communication and collaboration with families, teachers, and other professionals.
- Distinctive advantage if you bring strong evaluation experience, knowledge of Alabama eligibility criteria, multitasking skills across different schools, and experience providing consultation, MTSS, or behavioral support.
