This full-time, contract opportunity is seeking a skilled School Psychologist ready to focus primarily on conducting evaluations for Special Education eligibility. The position runs from August 18, 2026 to May 28, 2027, conveniently located near Peralta, NM.
As a valued team member, your deep understanding of assessment and student needs will be instrumental. You’ll manage the evaluation process, providing expertise that helps guide services and interventions while upholding a culture of respect and collaboration across the school community.
What we’re looking for:
- Master’s Degree, Educational Specialist Degree (Ed.S.), or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology from an accredited program (REQUIRED)
- Proven experience in conducting comprehensive Special Education evaluations within school settings
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and reliability when managing caseloads
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Commitment to ethical practice and supporting diverse student populations
Your responsibilities:
- Complete thorough psychoeducational evaluations for Special Education eligibility
- Prepare and document clear, concise evaluation reports and recommendations
- Participate in eligibility meetings and collaborate with IEP teams
- Offer consultative support to school personnel and families regarding evaluation findings
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and district guidelines
Position highlights:
- Full-time schedule: 35-36 hours per week
- School hours: 7:50-2:50 (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri); 7:50-3:20 (Wed)
